WEB DESK: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Wendesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran was “mastermind” of May 9 riots, as reported by Samaa

Reflecting on the events of May 9 last year, Bukhari expressed, “The memories of the events that unfolded on May 9 continue to deeply distress every Pakistani.”

She alleged, “An extremist political faction targeted the Pakistan Army. The incidents of May 9 constituted a grave conspiracy against the nation. Military establishments were assaulted in a meticulously orchestrated plot aimed at tarnishing the institution’s image.”

Furthermore, Bukhari stressed the significance of holding those responsible for the May 9 unrest accountable in order to propel the nation forward.

Underlining the stance of not permitting the PTI to engage in acts of vandalism, Azma Bukhari reiterated her statement made in an exclusive interview with Samaa TV. Additionally, she addressed matters concerning the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme, stating, “We must pursue a new programme with the IMF.” She further underscored the imperative of enhancing investment within the country.
