A senior PTI official, speaking anonymously, said Gandapur had indicated his involvement in Bushra Bibi’s release after nearly nine months of detention. However, Gandapur did not elaborate on what specific steps he took. As KP’s chief minister, he is one of the few within the party to have ties to the establishment and maintains direct communication with Imran Khan.
Gandapur’s spokesperson, Barrister Saif, confirmed that the chief minister mentioned his role in Bushra Bibi’s release but did not disclose specifics. Within PTI circles, it’s believed that only Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and Gandapur fully understand the circumstances and conditions that led to her freedom.
A senior official asserted that Bushra Bibi’s release was based on a judicial decision, with the Islamabad High Court granting her bail. Authorities and PTI members confirmed that unlike previous instances, she was not detained on other charges after bail approval.
