FAISALABAD: Four Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers who had come to appear in an anti-terrorism court in Faisalabad were arrested from the court premises.
A contingent of Faisalabad police cordoned off the anti-terrorism court premises and arrested PTI workers in the connection of May 9 cases.
The anti-terrorism court was hearing the May 9 cases against them.
On this occasion, PTI lawyers protested against the arrest and cordoned off the police van. They tried to stop the police van carrying the arrested workers.
The police team shifted the arrested workers to the police station.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest-long march to the country’s capital on November 24.
Earlier today, jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party formed a coordination committee for the party march which PTI has described as a final push to challenge the ‘illegitimate’ government.
Additional Secretary General PTI Firdous Shamim Naqvi has issued a notification for the formation of the committees.
The notification stated that a 12-member committee has been formed for the twin cities, including 6 PTI leaders from Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
