PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit Tajikistan, Kazakhstan this week

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Central Asia this week.

PM Shehbaz will first visit Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from July 2-3, and then travel to Kazakhstan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of State meeting from July 3-4.

He will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other senior members of the Cabinet and high-ranking government officials.

This visit is part of the regular high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Tajikistan. The two sides will engage in wide-ranging discussions on areas of mutual interest to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

At the SCO Council of Heads of State Summit Meeting, the PM will share Pakistan’s perspective on important regional and global issues and underline the importance Pakistan accords to regional connectivity and cooperation with SCO member countries.
