DOHA: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation from the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) to discuss strengthening economic ties and exploring new investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The delegation, led by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani, included prominent Qatari business leaders representing key sectors of Qatar’s economy.
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the numerous investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and finance, positioning Pakistan as an attractive destination for investment.
The delegates expressed interest in Pakistan’s economic landscape, particularly in upcoming projects related to energy, technology, and infrastructure development.
Both sides explored potential collaborations that could drive job creation, innovation, and sustainable development in their countries.
Investment Opportunities in Pakistan
The QBA members responded positively to the Prime Minister’s invitation, indicating a strong interest in expanding their investments in new oppertunities in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors. The importance of bilateral cooperation to enhance economic stability and growth in the region was also emphasized.
The meeting brought together influential figures from both Pakistan and Qatar, emphasizing shared goals in enhancing trade, investment, and economic partnerships.
Qatar Businessmen Association key officials Saod Bin Omar Bin Hamad Al-Mana, Vice Chairman & CEO of Al Mana Group; Khalid Ahmed Al Mannai, Executive Director of Mannai Corporation; Salah Mohammed Jaidah, Chairman MENA & Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank; Sheikh Mansoor bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of Mansoor Jassim Al Thani Group; Nabil Abu Issa, CEO of Blue Salon; and Yousuf Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, Director of Sendian Group attended the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Commerce Kam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mohammad Aurangzeb, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar were also present in the meeting.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the Manjar Art Gallery in the Qatar Museum yesterday, accompanied by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
