Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump for winning the United States (US) presidential election.
“Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump on his historic victory for a second term! I look forward to working closely with the incoming Administration to further strengthen and broaden the Pakistan-US partnership,” wrote PM Shehbaz in a tweet.
‘Anti-war victory’
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while congratulating Trump, termed it as an ‘anti-war victory’, expressing hope that his administration will prioritise ‘peace’.
Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump on his election and historic comeback. The people of America have given him and his team @JDVance, @elonmusk, @RobertKennedyJr, @TulsiGabbard & @GOP
a resounding victory. This is an anti-war victory. An anti-war mandate. We hope the new administration will prioritise peace and help end the cycle of perpetual global conflict.
Trump wins US election for the second time
Republican Donald Trump made a historic comeback to the White House after four years. Addressing the supporters at campaign headquarters on Wednesday, Donald Trump said that people tell him that “God spared my life for a reason.”
“And that reason was to save our country and restore America to greatness. And now we’re going to fulfil that mission together,” he told supporters early Wednesday morning.
