PM Shehbaz announces unique logos on CNICs for organ donors

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif introduced a national initiative to promote organ donation, including a special logo for donors on their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC).

PM Shehbaz’s statement:

In a statement, he said, “Individuals who voluntarily register themselves as organ donors will have a special, exclusive logo printed on their National Identity Cards, symbolising their commitment to giving the gift of life,” the prime minister said in a message in connection with International Identity Day, observed on September 16 to promote universal access to identity proof.

He said organ donation is a profound act of kindness that can give a new lease on life to those in need
