Pakistani rupee marginally depreciates on Thursday against the US dollar in the interbank market.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday, after a slight increase of 6 paise, the dollar has increased from Rs277.79 to Rs277.85 at the end of business on Thursday.

The dollar was trading at Rs277.80 in the interbank market with an increase of 1 paise. Yesterday, the USD closed at 277.79.

In the interbank market, the value of the Saudi Riyal was Rs73.97, while the value of the Bahraini dinar was Rs736.91. Similarly, the value of the Omani Rial was Rs721.66 paise in the interbank market, the value of the Kuwaiti dinar was Rs906.76, and the value of the Qatari riyal Rs76.20 was recorded.

Separately, Gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs700 on Thursday, following an all-time high increase.

According to the Sarafa Dealers Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs700 on Thursday, after which it came to Rs287200. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs600 to Rs246228, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold came to Rs225709.

Separately, Gold price in Pakistan on Wednesday reached a record high of Rs287,900 per tola after a consecutive decline.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, after an increase of Rs2,900 in the price of gold per tola, gold has become Rs2,87,900 per tola, while the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold is also Rs244,342 after an increase of Rs2,486.
