The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is reportedly planning to operate over a dozen weekly flights to the United Kingdom (UK).
According to details, the national flag carrier’s administration is hopeful that the ban on flights to Europe will be lifted soon. A national daily has reported that PIA is planning to operate 22 weekly flights to UK once the ban is lifted.
The administration has already invited bids for the provision of in-flight catering services at three different airports, including London, Manchester, and Birmingham.

The airline is inviting bids for catering services to provide at least 6,500 meals for nine weekly flights at Manchester Airport, 7,500 meal packs for 10 weekly flights at London Airport, and 2,200 food packs for two weekly flights at Birmingham Airport.
In its advertisement, PIA has asked the interested companies to submit their technical and financial proposals by June 27, 2024.
