Petrol pumps to shut down on July 5

WEB DESK: Chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, Abdul Sami Khan, has announced that they will shut down their petrol pumps on July 5.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Abdul Sami Khan stated that there is no way in the world to operate pumps at a loss, and double taxation is unprecedented.

He mentioned that today they met with the Finance Minister on an important issue, stating that a 0.5% tax has been imposed on them in the name of advance tax. This has already reduced their margin, causing them distress.
