Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi came under fire in both houses of parliament following Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat at the hands of Bangladesh, which resulted in a lot of backlash from the public as well.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Syed Ali Zafar said that cricket had also been destroyed in the country like other games.
Senator Manzoor Ahmad said the nation had high expectations from the players, who are paid Rs4 to 6 million in monthly salaries besides other incentives. He agreed that the PCB chairman and its board of governors should tender resignations.

The nation was left in despair after losing the second Test in Rawalpindi by six wickets on Tuesday as Bangladesh swept the series 2-0.
Naqvi also came under criticism in the National Assembly.
PTI’s Sibghatullah, speaking about the delay in issuance of passports, alleged that the minister was involved in corruption in the sports and immigration sectors.
