Pakistan’s moon satellite sends first-ever image from lunar orbit

Pakistan’s first lunar satellite, ICUBE-Qamar, has sent the first-ever image from lunar orbit, announced the Institute of Space Technology.

Qamar is the first Pakistani satellite to enter lunar orbit and completed its rotation in 12 hours.

On Wednesday, ICUBE-Q achieved a significant milestone by successfully entering the moon’s orbit.

Last Friday, Pakistan became the sixth country to launch its first-ever moon satellite.

ICUBE-Q was launched on board China’s Chang’e-6 from Hainan, China, on May 3.

Ahead of the satellite’s launch last week, it was stated that the Pakistani satellite would capture various images of the moon’s surface, providing Pakistan with its own satellite imagery for research purposes.
