Pakistani Students Develop Solar Panel Cleaning Robot

Pakistani students have developed a solar panel cleaning robot that can increase the efficiency of solar panel without requiring any additional investment.

According to one of the developers, Ayesha Ashfaq, the solar panel cleaning robot has the ability to generate an additional 50,000 watts annually in a solar farm with a capacity of 1 megawatt.

She added that the device is equipped with humidity sensors that can detect low humidity in the air, indicating recent lack of rain and dirty solar panels. It will autonomously decide to operate and clean the solar panels.

Ayesha Ashfaq stated that solar panel cleaning robot hasn’t been launched in the market yet. However, they are trying their best to launch it as soon as possible.

Recently, solar panels prices witness a sharp decline in Pakistan due to the  ‘ample’ stock and supply of the equipment. According to the market sources, solar panel prices in Pakistan have decreased by 30 percent in the last six months.
