Pakistani pilgrim delivers baby boy at Arafat field during Hajj

In a remarkable event today, a Pakistani pilgrim gave birth to a healthy baby boy at Jabalur Rahma Hospital in the Arafat field, marking the first birth in Arafat this year. This unique moment adds a special note to the spiritual journey of millions of Muslims.

The mother, who has chosen to remain anonymous and declined to have her picture taken, delivered her baby in the 37th week of pregnancy. Hospital sources confirmed that the newborn, weighing 3 kg and 40 grams, is in good health.

The medical team, led by Dr. Amina Al-Sheikh, reported that both mother and baby are doing well and are under observation for further examination. Dr. Al-Sheikh expressed her delight at the successful delivery, noting the baby’s healthy weight and normal condition.

“The birth of a child is always a joyous occasion, and it is even more special to witness such an event during the Hajj. Both the mother and child are in stable condition, and we are closely monitoring them to ensure their continued well-being,” the doctor said.

This extraordinary event occurred against the backdrop of the Day of Arafat, one of the most significant days in the Islamic calendar. Millions of pilgrims gathered on Mount Arafat to pray, with this convergence symbolizing forgiveness and mercy, and serving as the climax of the Hajj pilgrimage.
