WEB DESK: Users in Pakistan and various other countries are experiencing difficulties accessing Meta’s popular social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.

Users from Pakistan and many others around the world are presently unable to access popular Meta social media services like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.

The service interruption remains vague and likely unclear because many complain about it on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter). The users report that they are unable to send messages from WhatsApp, whereas features for audio and video calls are also not working. Similar complaints have been made by Facebook and Instagram users, with some getting inexplicably logged out of their accounts.

On top of these disruptions, reports have also claimed that Threads, another of Meta’s new social media platforms, has experienced outages on the new social media platform. Users complain of the service outages.

As is typical during such outages, users felt wronged and got on X to express their messages and emotions. Currently, the platform is inundated with memes and commentary about the downtime of Meta services.

Meta has had little to say about what the problem looks like or when it is expected to end. Meanwhile, users all around the world, particularly in Pakistan, are left in limbo as they await the resumption of services.
