WEB DESK: A high-level meeting, chaired by WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed, was convened to review and enhance revenue collection strategies. The session was attended by directors of operations and officials from the revenue wing, focusing on measures to improve efficiency and address challenges.

Strong action against all defaulters was announced by Ghufran Ahmed, who directed all directors to step up enforcement action including water and sewerage connection cuts to defaulters and FIRs against illegal connections. No exceptions in these actions were reserved by the MD.

MD WASA told officials to furnish reports ward-wise, daily for effectively and closely monitoring revenue operations. He underlined that negligence in revenue collection efforts would not be acceptable and charged officials with accountability across the board.

Moreover, complaints from the public stayed as one of the core areas of the meeting. Officials were asked to adopt practical and immediate measures to resolve public complaints efficiently, to improve the quality of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The directives are indicative of the pledge of WASA to improve operational efficiency, increase revenue generation, and inspire public confidence.
