The University of the Punjab (UOP) has opened job opportunities for Pakistani nationals, offering several positions on a daily wages or contingent basis.
The roles, funded by self-supporting or departmental funds, will be filled for a maximum of 89 days, adhering to the policy framework established by the Government of Punjab. This initiative allows candidates to gain practical work experience within one of the country’s most prestigious institutions.
Among the positions available are drivers, sanitary workers, and cooks, each requiring different levels of education and qualifications. The university underscores that these positions are strictly temporary, with no possibility of extension or regularisation beyond the designated term.
Position details and eligibility criteria
The university is seeking to fill three key roles:
- Driver – (1 Position)
Applicants should have a middle-level education, though those with matriculation certificates are preferred. A valid LTV and HTV driving license is required, with experience in operating vans, cars, and other vehicles considered an asset. - Sanitary Worker – (1 Position)
Candidates with primary education will be preferred for this role; however, illiterate applicants are also eligible to apply. - Cook – (1 Position)
This role is open to literate candidates, with prior experience in cooking seen as an advantage.

Interested candidates must apply online through the UOP official portal at http://111.68.103.6/nonteaching. The deadline for submissions is October 18, 2024, with the online application system closing at 4:00 PM on that date.
After completing the online process, applicants are required to send a hard copy of their application, along with attested copies of relevant documents, including degrees, CNIC, and testimonials, to the Registrar’s office at the University of Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore. Applications sent by hand will not be accepted.
