The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, has urged Pakistanis living in the UAE to refrain from spreading negative propaganda about their country, its institutions, or its politicians.

According to the Consul General, negative propaganda against Pakistan by Pakistanis living or visiting the UAE had been observed on social media. This led to several arrests, with many individuals sentenced to 14 to 15 years in prison.

Furthermore, more than five Pakistanis received life sentences, and most of those involved were deported.

He further warned that Pakistanis engaging in such activities would be denied visas for Gulf countries, including the UAE. He advised against sharing or forwarding negative content on social media, stating that strict legal action would be taken against those who do.
