QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has notified three days of mourning from November 11th to 13, in response to the tragic suicide bombing at Quetta’s railway station on November 9.
The blast claimed the lives of 26 individuals and left over 40 others injured, including women and children.
Furthermore, the national flag of Pakistan will be flown at half-mast across the province from November 11 to 13, 2024.
At least 26 people were killed and over 40 others injured on Saturday after a suicide blast ripped through Quetta Railway Station, the division commissioner said.
Deputy Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafaqat confirmed that the explosion at the railway station in Quetta was a suicide attack. He said that 24 people were killed in the deadly bombing.
He added that the security forces deployed at the railway station were the target of the suicide bomber.
The commissioner appealed to the public to visit hospitals and donate blood to help the blast victims. He also urged people to avoid going to bus stands, stations, and crowded places.
Hamza Shafqat said that terrorists often target soft targets. The banned organisation has claimed responsibility for the blast.
