A 13-year-old boy was reportedly subjected to severe physical abuse by a teacher at a government school in the Kanthala region of Khanpur Tehsil, Haripur, after failing to complete his school assignments.
The victim, Zeeshan, a 7th-grade student and the son of Mohammad Ramzan, was allegedly forced to hang upside down while being beaten with a stick by his teacher, Muhammad Munir. The ordeal, which was carried out with the assistance of two other students, left the child gravely injured.

Victim hospitalised, teacher taken into custody
Zeeshan was rushed to Tehsil Hospital Khanpur in critical condition following the incident, which occurred at Kanthala Government Middle School in the Upper Khanpur area. According to the victim’s father, the assault caused significant physical harm and has sparked outrage in the local community.
Police in Khanpur have arrested the teacher, Muhammad Munir, after registering a First Information Report (FIR) against him. Authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the incident and ensure accountability.
