Sindh Police announced the immediate suspension of 12 officers on Friday. The officers were found involved in posting “inappropriate viral videos” on platforms like TikTok, violating the police’s code of conduct.

The move was directed by Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, following an official Facebook post from Sindh Police. This action comes just a day after six officers were suspended for a similar offense of making TikTok videos while in uniform.

IG Memon stressed that officers engaging in such behavior tarnish the department’s image. He highlighted that swift disciplinary measures, including legal action, would be taken against officers uploading indecent or inappropriate content. “There is no place in the force for those who compromise the department’s reputation,” he asserted.

This crackdown follows earlier orders issued this week, where IG Memon instructed senior police officials to ensure strict compliance with police regulations and social ethics.

Separately, the Establishment Division, in a notification dated September 2, 2024, reinforced that no government servant is permitted to participate in media platforms without official clearance. The notification also emphasized that any action harming national security or public morality would not be tolerated.
