KARACHI: The Sindh government on Thursday announced a public holiday on December 27 to observe the 17th death anniversary of the former prime minister Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
The Sindh government issued a notification regarding the public holiday on Thursday.
All government offices, autonomous, and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh Government will remain closed on December 27.
Multiple events will be organised by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) across the country to commemorate her legacy.

The main ceremony in connection with the anniversary will be held at the Bhutto family’s ancestral home Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana along with a series of gatherings, rallies, and memorial services.
Benazir Bhutto, the first female prime minister of Pakistan, was assassinated in a tragic attack on December 27, 2007 in Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi.
