A door-to-door polio vaccination campaign was recently inaugurated in Sukkur by Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, who urged residents to make sure their children received the necessary polio doses.

As part of the province’s continuing battle against polio, the Chief Minister launched his efforts during his visit to Sukkur, highlighting the significance of this campaign in eradicating the illness. He went door-to-door, urging people to stop the spread of polio by vaccination their children right now.

Chief Minister Shah took the opportunity to thank the groups working on the eradication campaign.

The diligent efforts of the polio teams, he said, should be recognised because they are working to protect future generations from harm. He emphasised that these immunisation drops offer a promise of a better future for the children of Sindh, as well as a measure of protection.

With a focus on reaching every kid, even in the most distant places, the government is committed to attaining a polio-free Pakistan, and the Chief Minister’s visit highlights this dedication.

Surge in police cases

The government already declared that the final anti-polio campaign of 2024 will start tomorrow in 143 districts nationwide, with an emphasis on tackling the concerning increase in cases and guaranteeing optimal vaccine coverage.
