Following Punjab’s lead, the Sindh Education Department has also announced a two-month summer vacations for all government and private educational institutions in the province.
The Education Department issued a notification on Tuesday, announcing that summer vacations for both government and private educational institutions will begin on June 2 and end on July 31.
The notification further said that the vacations were approved based on the steering committee’s decision.

Earlier, students had urged the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to announce summer holidays due to the increasing temperatures. Contrary to some reports, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated that Karachi is not expected to experience a heatwave in the coming days.
