Sikhs delegation from USA visits Jamrud Fort

PESHAWAR: A 34-member Sikh delegation from the U.S. visited Jamrud Fort and Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh in Peshawar.

Jamrud Fort is located in Khyber District, while Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh is in Jogan Shah area of Peshawar.

The visitors expressed joy and thanked the government and Pakistan Army for organising the visit.

During their visit, officials briefed them on Jamrud Fort’s history and its role during Hari Singh Nalwa’s reign.

The delegation toured the Sikh-era monument at the fort and appreciated restoration efforts.

They also visited Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh and performed religious rituals.

Delegates thanked the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps North, and other organisers for their hospitality.

Jamrud Fort houses the revered Samadhi of Hari Singh Nalwa.

Standing at the Khyber Pass gateway, the fort is both a historic symbol and a sacred site for Sikhs worldwide.

Thousands of Sikh pilgrims visit Pakistan every year to connect with their rich heritage.
