WEB DESK: Murree’s Deputy Commissioner, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, has announced the imposition of Section 144 in the hill station from December 13 to December 15, 2024.
The notification, issued on Friday, prohibits all religious and political gatherings during this period, according to 24 News report.
The decision comes as a grand public jirga is scheduled to take place in Lower Toppa, featuring prominent political figures, including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, alongside MNAs, MPAs, and representatives from various political parties.
Meanwhile, the Alliance Action Committee declared a strike in Murree tomorrow in response to the ongoing developments.
