LAHORE: All the educational institutions, including schools in Lahore and Multan, will reopen tomorrow, November 20, Wednesday, as the smog situation has improved.

According to the notification issued by the government of the Punjab Environment Protection Agency, the decision to reopen educational institutions has been taken due to improvements in air quality because of the rain.

“The ambient air quality has improved in Punjab, due to rain in the upper parts of Punjab and a change in wind direction and speed.” read the notification.

The schools will not reopen before 8:45am, and staff and students are mandated to wear face masks.

“There shall be a complete ban on outdoor sports and outdoor co-curricular
activities till further orders.

It further said that all the educational institutions shall introduce class-wise school closing timing to avoid traffic congestions.
