ISLAMABAD: Private schools in the federal capital Islamabad will remain closed for winter vacations from December 21 (tomorrow) to January 5, 2025.
As per a notification issued on Friday, the decision was made due to the seasonal weather conditions. Classes are scheduled to resume on January 6, 2025.
Earlier this week, the Punjab Department of School Education revised the winter vacation schedule for schools in the province. The break will now begin on December 23, instead of the previously announced December 20.
Schools will remain open on December 20 as per the regular timetable. Under the new schedule, schools will reopen on January 13, 2025, after the winter break. This revised plan applies to all public and private schools in the province.
Additionally, the Sindh Education Department Wednesday notified announced that all private and government schools in the province will observe holidays from December 21 to 31. This decision is applicable to both public and private educational institutions.
On Tuesday, the Punjab government announced the 20-day-long winter vacation for public and private educational institutions across the province.
On Monday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department announced winter vacations for all public and private educational institutions in both the winter and summer zones of the province.
