Sazgar Engineering Works (SAZEW) is preparing to launch the ORA-07 EV, a Completely Built Unit (CBU) electric vehicle, in Pakistan soon.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, Sazgar Engineering Works announced its upcoming launch of the ORA-07 EV, a new imported CBU electric vehicle. The company also stated that bookings for the vehicle will begin shortly.
ORA 07 is a sub-brand of Great Wall Motors (GWM), a leading Chinese automotive company renowned for its electric vehicles. GWM also owns popular brands such as Haval, Ora, and Tank, and includes the innovative firm Salon Mecha Technology Co., Ltd. in its portfolio.
This launch comes on the heels of Sazgar’s earlier entry into the electric vehicle market with the locally assembled Haval Jolion HEV, which started pre-booking in April.

Pakistan’s electric vehicle market is still emerging but is experiencing encouraging growth. Recently, Chinese automaker BYD revealed plans to enter the Pakistani market, with an official brand launch set for August 17.
