QUETTA: The resolution demanding a ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was submitted to the Balochistan Assembly today and will be presented in the provincial assembly session tomorrow (Thursday).
The resolution, signed by PML-N and PPP members, mentioned that the Imran Khan-founded party tried to spread chaos in the country. It added that the escalation of the Chief Minister of a province against the federation is tantamount to advancing the anti-national agenda.
The resolution “condemned the attack from PTI protestors on security forces, federation, and media offices.”
The resolution demanded that the federal government should immediately ban PTI, a former ruling party, based on the above facts.
Earlier today, a similar resolution was also submitted in the Punjab Assembly by PML-N member Hina Pervez Butt. The resolution added that this house strongly condemns the PTI’s attack on the federation in droves.
The text of the resolution said that the chief executive of a province and the former first lady attacked the federation and that miscreants injured police personnel and set vehicles on fire. A specific group caused damage to the lives and property of the people under a well-planned conspiracy, it mentioned.
The resolution demands the federal government to take strict action against the political party and ensure the safety and protection of citizens’ lives and property.
