Security sources have revealed that mobile forensics have detected connections between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Raoof Hasan and foreign figures. This includes regular interactions with foreign journalist Ryan Grim since January 2024.
On January 21, 2024, Hasan invited Grim to a virtual political convention, and their communication has continued on various topics.

Later, on June 8, 2024, Grim reached out to Hasan to verify content attributed to the PTI founder, promising not to reveal his identity. Raof Hasan responded via WhatsApp call, and Grim has since written several articles in support of PTI.
It is pertinent to mention that Raoof Hasan was arrested by the Islamabad police last month. The interior ministry accused the party of spreading “anti-state propaganda.”
