WEB DESK: In most areas of the country, rain with thunderstorms is forecasted for the evening and night.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country today, Saturday.

However, in the evening and night, there is a chance of thunderstorms, winds, and rain at a few places in northern and western Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southern Punjab, lower Sindh, Pothohar region, and Kashmir.

Weather forecasters say that tomorrow, Sunday, the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, there is a chance of rain with thunderstorms in a few places in Kashmir and the adjoining mountainous areas.

Moreover, during the last 24 hours, thunderstorms and rain occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, the Pothohar region, lower Sindh, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The weather remained hot and dry in other parts of the country.

Yesterday, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 47mm of rain was recorded in Saidu Sharif, 37mm in Malam Jabba, 15mm in Dir, 4mm in Patan and Drosh, 3mm in Kakol and Kalam, and 1mm in Mirkhani. In Balochistan: 14mm in Zhob and 4mm in Khuzdar. In Punjab: 7mm in Murree. In Sindh: 5mm in Karachi (Quaidabad) and 1mm in North Karachi and Masroor Base. In Gilgit-Baltistan: 4mm in Gupis.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded were 48°C in Turbat, and 42°C in Dalbandin and Jiwani.
