LAHORE: Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has issued a warning to students regarding fake registration links circulating online for the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025.

In a statement, he clarified that all links being shared for registration are fake, and students should not open or provide personal details on these sites. These fraudulent links lead users to a website where they are asked to enter personal information such as their name, educational background, and other sensitive details.

He advised students to only rely on official sources like the Higher Education Department’s (HED) website and social media pages for authentic information.

 Eligibility Criteria

The Punjab Chief Minister’s (CM) Laptop Scheme 2025, announced by CM Maryam Nawaz, aims to distribute 50,000 latest-generation laptops to high-achieving students.

Allocation of Laptops

  • 20,000 laptops for university students
  • 14,000 laptops for college students
  • 4,000 laptops for technical and agricultural students
  • 2,000 laptops for medical and dental students
  • Priority will be given to students studying computer science, medicine, engineering, and social sciences

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on academic performance. Educational institutions will collect data of eligible students, which will be verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab. The final list of selected students will be published by HEC.

Distribution Process

The distribution process is expected to begin after Ramadan 2025.

Students are advised to stay cautious of fake websites and only refer to official government sources for updates regarding the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025.
