The Punjab Traffic Headquarters has announced a decision to issue driving licenses to college and university students. According to the traffic headquarters spokesperson, the Additional IG Traffic has approved this initiative, and directives have been sent to all CTOs and DTOs across the province.

As per the new instructions, driving licenses will be provided to students and administrative staff of colleges and universities. Under the new plan, CTOs and District Traffic Officers will immediately meet with heads of all educational institutions across Punjab.

Additionally, focal persons will be appointed by universities to coordinate the process. University and college administrations will facilitate students’ transport to testing centers, where they will be provided with all necessary services for obtaining a driving license.

The Higher Education Commission Punjab has also issued guidelines to educational institutions regarding this campaign.
