Punjab govt launches Ed-Tech School Initiative

LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched an innovative programme, the Ed-Tech School Initiative, to provide quality education to underprivileged children in urban and rural areas of the province.

According to state-run broadcast Radio Pakistan, more than 300 Ed-Tech schools will be established under the Ed-Tech School Initiative.

This step is part of the Punjab government’s effort to improve the overall education system and ensure that every child has access to modern teaching methods.

Educational institutions with relevant experience can apply online by the 30th of this month, while the selected institutions will be notified by 7th of the next month.

The programme is designed to create opportunities to foster a brighter future for the next generation.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational institutions interested in participating in this programme are eligible to apply by meeting the following criteria.

  • Institutions with Ed-Tech expertise or prior experience with digital education.
  • Schools are willing to operate in 16 to 55 urban and rural locations across Punjab.
  • Schools are capable of running for 12 hours a day in three shifts to maximize student learning.
  • This program is ideal for schools that aim to make a difference by adopting modern, digital teaching methodologies.

How to Apply?

Applying for the Ed-Tech program is straightforward and requires the following steps:

  • Visit the official website www.ed-tech.pefsis.edu.pk
  • Complete the online application form by providing all required details about your institution.
  • Ensure you submit the application before the deadline.
  • The online application form dully signed along with all necessary documents should be sent to the below address before 7th January 2025.
