ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to partially suspend internet and mobile services ahead of PTI’s long march to Islamabad.

According to the Ministry of Interior sources, internet and mobile services may be suspended in various districts of Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

According to sources in the Ministry of Interior, a firewall will be activated on mobile internet service from November 22. Internet service will be slowed down due to the activation of the firewall.

Sources in the Ministry of Interior further said that videos and audio downloading on social media apps will not be possible. Considering the situation, internet and mobile services may be suspended at specific places at any time.

It should be noted that on November 13, Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, claimed that Imran Khan had given a final call for Islamabad protest on November 24.

She had said that the protest will continue until the demands are accepted, while the nation has to decide its own future whether it wants to live in freedom or not.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had said that preparations for the protest are complete, Aleema Khan has announced the date of the protest.

He had further said that this time there is no going back, there will be no going back until our demands are met.
