The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation has rejected the decision to extend school holidays.

Kashif Mirza, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, said that the reason behind the Sindh government’s extension of school holidays is a delay in the printing of textbooks, and they reject this decision.

He stated that extending the holidays wastes the Sindh government’s 517 billion education budget and disrupts children’s education.

Moreover, the President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation also mentioned that completing the syllabus would be difficult, and the shortened matriculation session would further impact the performance and results of students and teachers.

In addition, Kashif Mirza said that stakeholders were not consulted and that extending holidays is not a solution to climate change. Students have already been away from educational activities for more than 60 days.

He further urged the Chief Minister of Sindh and the Education Minister to reconsider the immediate decision and reopen schools according to the schedule.
