Polish aviators Sebastian Piotr Kawa and Sebastian Lampart created history by being the first to glide over, the world’s second-highest mountain K2 at 8,611 meters.

In addition, the flight, which was organised by Mountain Challenger, had difficulties in the Karakoram range due to windy weather and high elevations.

Additionally, Kawa, a decorated sports pilot with 24 World Gliding Championship medals, hopes their achievement will inspire future pilots to explore the region.

Furthermore, Kawa praised the gliding potential of Pakistan’s mountains, noting the favorable dry conditions and high altitudes. He also commended the warm hospitality of the Pakistani people.
