CHARSADDA: A suicide bomber blew himself up near a police van in Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.
Fortunately, the suicide bomber apparently targeting police van, missed his target resulting in his own death without harming policemen in van.
According to police, the incident occurred near the Umarzai Police Station in Akhun Dehri area of the district. Police officials said that suicide bomber blew himself up after a police van had already passed.
The District Police Officer (DPO), however, said that that there was no explosion on the police van, and further investigation has been launched into the incident.
He has said that the person who died in the blast was riding a motorcycle.
According to officials, the explosion occurred after the police van passed by.
