ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the posting of two new ambassadors abroad on Sunday, sources said.

The approval of the posting was finalised following the recommendation summary sent by Foreign Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar.

As per the sources, Marghoob Saleem Butt will be Pakistan’s new ambassador to Switzerland. Butt was serving as the Additional Secretary for SCO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Whereas, Ambassador Amir Shaukat has been assigned a new assignment in Egypt. Amir Shaukat is currently serving as Pakistan’s ambassador to Switzerland.

Diplomatic sources said that the foreign ministry has also approved Mumtaz Zahra Baloch as the newly nominated ambassador to France. Baloch is currently serving as the Foreign Office spokesperson.
