Petrol, diesel prices expected to rise next week

Not a good news for Pakistanis, as the prices of petrol and diesel are expected to increase in the upcoming week.

According to media reports, the government will increase petrol prices by Rs5 per litre and diesel by Rs13 per litre.

After five consecutive price cuts, this rise is expected due to to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, which has caused international oil prices to spike.

Current price of petrol and diesel

The current Petrol Price in Pakistan is Rs 247.03 pe litre, High Speed Diesel is Rs 246.29 per litre and Light Speed Diesel is Rs154.05 per litre.

The news is expected to be announced by October 15.

Consumer impact and Retail market rates

Petrol is widely used by the middle, and lower middle class sectors, primarily in private vehicles, motorcycles, and rickshaws.
