ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), an attached department of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), has announced to export of skilled and unskilled manpower, including medical professionals, to the Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

State-run APP, citing sources, reported that the medical professionals meeting the government’s prescribed qualifications and experience would be eligible to apply for the jobs.

Additionally, the OEC is also recruiting for the construction sector and interested candidates across the country can apply until December 18, 2024. The OEC is already exporting skilled workers to over 40 countries worldwide.

Interested candidates could apply for Laboratory Manager (LM), with BSc Engineering/B-Tech/Graduation/DAE Civil; minimum of 15 years of experience with relevant 5 years of experience. The LM will manage laboratory staff and oversee lab and field operations, ensuring safety and adherence to company policies, the OEC said.

Furthermore, candidates could also apply for Laboratory Technician with a 3-year Diploma in Associate Engineering or a college degree in a science-related field. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for testing materials such as concrete, aggregate, soil, and asphalt.

Qualifications for medical professionals 

Medical professionals interested in the opportunity must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBS) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution (essential).
  • Completion of HIMAA, ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS – Introductory Course (essential).
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, either as a processor/auditor of insurance claims in a health institution or insurance company (essential).
  • Candidates must be under 50 years of age. Both male and female applicants are eligible.

The applicants are required to submit/attach the deposited bank challan of Rs1000/- for the medical professional or laboratory manager’s post and Rs500/- for the laboratory technician’s post, generated during the online application submission.
