KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Zulfiquar recently carried out a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Republic of Korea Navy Ship WANG GEON in the North Arabian Sea.
The exercise was conducted under the task forces of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), CTF-150, and CTF-151.
During the exercise, both ships engaged in tactical maneuvers and communication drills designed to improve operational coordination and strengthen ties between the two navies. The primary focus of the exercise was to combat illicit maritime activities, such as piracy and drug trafficking, which pose a threat to security in international waters.
This successful joint exercise highlights the commitment of both the Pakistan Navy and the Republic of Korea Navy to promoting maritime security and stability in the region. It also demonstrates their ongoing cooperation under the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), which plays a key role in maintaining peace and lawful activities at sea.
Both countries regularly contribute ships and aircraft to support maritime security efforts, fostering mutual understanding and enhancing operational efficiency.
