Over 4,000 police personnel will be stationed at all entry and exit points into Islamabad ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) scheduled protest at D-Chowk on Friday.
PTI leader Imran Khan announced the protest, prompting heightened security measures throughout the twin cities.
To ensure safety and maintain order, police will focus on securing key access points between Islamabad and Rawalpindi, deploying personnel strategically.
Several critical areas, including Faizabad, T-Chowk, and major intersections like Khanna Pul and Peshawar Road, will be blocked off with containers and barriers.
These security measures will begin on Thursday night, with the majority of police forces prepared by Friday morning.
