RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police on Thursday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub, Ahmed Chatta, and Raja Basharat outside Adiala Jail.
The PTI leaders came to Adiala Jail for the hearing of the General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case in which they were indicted, including party founder Imran Khan.
Omar Ayub’s lawyer, Rana Mudassar, speaking to the media, said that Omar Ayub and Raja Basharat were taken into custody by the Adiala Jail checkpoint officials.
He also said that it is not yet known in which case they have been arrested.
PTI, in a post on a social media platform ‘X,’ condemned the arrest of Ayub and Basharat.
