Security sources have dismissed reports claiming that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sent a letter to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, stating that no such letter has been received.

The sources further stated that the establishment has made it clear that political discussions should occur among politicians themselves.

The sources added that no such letter has been received, and even if one exists, the establishment has absolutely no interest in receiving or reading it.

On Monday, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has written urging him to change his policies.

According to Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, the letter discussed the February 2024 general elections, the impact of the 26th Constitutional Amendment on judicial independence and the rule of law. Khan also referenced the Al-Qadir Trust case verdict in the letter.
