The Power Division has categorically refuted media claims implying that officials and members of parliament (MPs) are receiving free power.
Moreover, the division made it clear in a statement issued on Sunday that no official or lawmaker receives free power.
The Power Division declared, “There is no truth in the media reports claiming that MPs and bureaucrats are receiving free electricity.”

In addition, it was further highlighted in the statement that no government institution is given free electricity.
This refutation is in reaction to a lot of conjecture and media attention that suggests senior officials get special treatment, such as free power.
