New oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Kohat.
According to initial estimates, 17.9 million standard cubic feet of gas and 153 barrels of oil will be extracted daily from Razgir 1.
The joint venture of MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company, OGDCL, PPL, POL, and GHPL has discovered new oil and gas reserves from the Lockhart Formation in Razgir 1, located in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
MOL Pakistan continues to operate as the operator of this joint venture in the areas of the Tal Block in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the statement issued by the operator, drilling at this well commenced on January 9 of this year and was successfully completed to a depth of 3,773.98 meters. Initial estimates suggest that 17.9 million standard cubic feet of gas and 153 barrels of oil will be extracted daily from this well.

Moreover, this new discovery has paved the way for further discoveries in the Tal Block, creating new opportunities.
