ISLAMABAD: In a significant development, the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication issued an official notification on Friday, announcing the establishment of a new agency dedicated to combating cybercrime.

The newly formed National Cyber Crime Investigation (NCCI) agency will assume the crucial responsibility of tackling cybercrime, a task previously managed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

According to the official notification, all officers currently serving in the FIA’s cybercrime division have been reassigned to the newly established NCCI.
