The Nanbai Association has once again rejected reducing the price of roti. According to a statement issued by the United Nanbai Association, they stated that regardless of the Punjab government’s actions, they will not reduce the price of roti.

The statement from the association mentioned that unless the price of flour (atta) is decreased to Rs. 1,600 per bag and maida to Rs. 7,500 per bag, they will not decrease the price of roti

The United Nanbai Association stated that the old price of bread has been reinstated at most tandoors in Lahore.

On the other hand, while speaking on the Geo News programme “Geo Pakistan,” Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin said that a thorough investigation was conducted before determining the price of bread, and there has been a reduction of Rs. 500 in the price of 20 kilograms of flour (atta).

The provincial minister said that the benefit of reducing the price of flour should reach the public, and the price of flour at tandoors was determined after considering all expenses incurred in making bread.

He also mentioned that the Punjab government is implementing actions regarding the price of bread at tandoors, and action is also being taken according to the law against those who violate it.
